Could Belize Be A Safe Haven For Blockchain Developers? Part 1
After watching the uTube video from ReasonTv on Blockstack , I couldn't help
but be concerned for these individuals. They are noble in their ideas about bringing
the internet back to what it was intended to be. As the intention was for everyone
to share in the internet, not just corporations and government, to benefit and
prosper. It was going to make the world of relationships, smaller, with 7 billion
people of similar interests grouping together. Trust and honesty were to be the
true values.
Yet, the early ideas were subverted by government spy agencies,
and mega internet conglomerates. Backdoors were put in software.
Corporations were making the rules what could and couldn't be
done on the internet, and profiting off of peoples activity. Instead of
trust, every computer device is compromised, and can be hacked for
surveillance, malware, or theft.
Today, we have these young developers who have taken the original
ideas, and have run with them to start firms. These Millennials will
be against vested interests that have both power and money to lose.
This concerns me, because I like the direction these young people
are going. Will they be safe creating the means to topple centralization?
What are your thoughts?
In part 2 , I will discuss the past history of change makers. Here is the uTube
video I eluded to in this blog. Enjoy.
