What is the quickest way to alkalize my body?

I was asked this by a friend of mine after they read about alkalizing foods and their benefits. What I has to share in response was that a popular school of thought (and practice) is through consuming more alkalizing foods as well as a solid detox.

The Doctor Sebi Diet looks at how the consumption of the right kind of foods helps with this.

However, there's strong enough evidence to suggest that without a decent flush out, through a colon cleanse diet (such as Bentonite and intermittent fasting) that the body will not be able to absorb what it needed. There's a lot of cellular waste that builds up in our bodies that needs to be flushed out. It is simple that the process of excretion is how we do it most effectively.

Inner health, I believe, is something that comes from the external choices we're making. The basis of these also needs to be questioned be each of us individually. Why do I choose drive thru over a healthy meal? Why do I choose a latte over a water? Why do I choose a candy bar over a carrot or an apple?

I'm not saying that you need to deprive yourself of these things, just question your eating habits instead of blindly following them. Then make whatever choice you want to ‘consciously’. Choose the coffee or the candy bar if you really want it. But also accept that you choose what their consequences are.

Sorry, slight rant there. To get your body to an alkaline state as quickly as possible, start with a Bentonite Clay detox (talk to your physician or dietitian first). Drink plenty of filtered water. Where I live they put fluoride in the water (WTF!), and you don't want to consume that for too long if you can avoid it. Eat plenty of alkalizing foods (easy enough to find info online). And consider how you poop — no joke! To squat or to sit; that is the question…
