The first thing which needs clarification is "to achieve what"?

But let's imagine that question has been asked and the answer was something not too far-fetched, like "tackle the climate change problem".

Clearly having all the countries work together to tackle climate change would allow better coordination, effectiveness and efficiency

it will be a 50-50 answer. :-) every region has different needs and that will make it impossible to agree with one singular view. If all other countries will be able to comprehend and above all RESPECT those different needs then there would be a chance of working together..

@discutio posted a rabbit hole

"posted a rabbit hole" i don't think so. That's only discussion, not debate : ).

hehe ok i hope you are right. :-)

The possible "con" in having all countries work together to tackle climate change (initial assumption) is the risk of "group think" - creating a structure which discourages autonomous thinking

The question is very broad how you put it.
They should to some extend, but they also should be able to be different for instance to preserve their own culture.
So probably I will answer this with a NO. As working together will only play in the hands of the globalists. But then again. If the greed driven warmongering globalist would be out of the equation, then most, if not all, countries actually would have a chance to work together to some extend.
