10 Ways You Can Help Shelter Dogs
This week is Animal Shelter Appreciation Week. Thanks goodness for animal shelters. Especially the no kill shelters that provide care for animals awaiting their forever home. When most people think of Animal Shelters they tend to think of, "The Pound." The pound conjures images from childhood cartoons of mean dog catchers that chase poor dogs through the streets. I tend to think of the cartoon, "Lady and The Tramp." Thankfully that is no longer the case. Shelters provide a safe haven for lost, stray or abandoned pets that may have otherwise be left to die on the streets. They provide medical care and Micro Chip recovery as well. If you are an animal lover that is not ready for dog ownership yet, whether it is due to living arrangements or lifestyle you can still enjoy a dog at the shelter and make her life much richer.
