China's virus cases top 20K as Hong Kong closes most borders
Hong Kong has reported its first death from a new virus in a 39-year-old man who traveled from mainland the China epicenter of the outbreak.
The man who died was the 13th confirmed case in Hong Kong and just the second to succumb to the illness outside mainland China.
Hong Kong’s Hospital Authority said he developed muscle pain last week followed by fever and was being treated in an isolation ward. The authority said the man traveled to Wuhan by train on Jan. 21 and returned to Hong Kong on Jan. 23.
