Another take on what seems to be the future: bendable OLED screens.
This year and 2019 seem set to finally bring us flexible screens to mobile devices. A new contender Nubia, has released a prototype of a smartwatch with a screen that bends over the contours of the wrist. If all goes well, we should expect to see this close to the end of the year.
The market for this might not be big though, as the company isn't well known and the watch is quite large. In any case, it might be one to watch (pardon the pun).

The screen offers a completely new vision. I already imagine the new smart watches with this screen.
I Was hoping that the Galaxy 10 wouldhagdca bendy screen but it seems Samsung have delayed their bendy screen launch due to reliability issues. I think we are still a couple of years away from common usage to be honest.
I've missed that, I'll check in to it. I really felt like Samsung has had a lot of time to perfect it, if they're still struggling with reliability then I agree with you on it being a couple of years away. Thanks for the info!
