Manchester City memang tidak bisa tampil di liga top Eropa dalam 2 tahun kedepan karena sanksi yang diterima dari UEFA

kondisi ini dianggap menguntungkan beberapa klub top di Eropa saat ini terutama di Liga Inggris di mana tim-tim di bawahnya bisa tampil

pelatih Arsenal saat ini yaitu Mikel Arteta langsung membantah dan menyebutkan bahwa Sanya untuk tampil di Liga Champions mereka memang harus finish di zona liga champions bukan karena Manchester City
