How good that be if a son, who has gone overseas for the job or getting higher education, when video chat with her mother can also feel her hand patting on his head or back. This would make his life easy and give him a feeling of being at home.

Thanks to VR, AR & wearable haptic devices, this wish is no more a fiction and has become a reality.

Up until now the major hurdle in the massive use of these technologies was power required by the mechanical actuators, but this new method, they have brought down the power used by a single actuator to 2 miliwatts which has made it possible to use them with a battery and for a longer period of time.
