Depression in Athletes: Prevalence and Risk Factors
It is commonly believed that athletics are less likely to develop depression. Research has, however, indicated that athletes are not somehow immune or resistant to depression. In fact, there are some risk factors, such as physical injury and as a result of it, career termination, overtraining, performance expectations, that may increase the risk of developing depression in athletics than in the general population.

Take care of mental health is as important as physical health. To enhance performance, we should focus on their mental health.
