Police yesterday arrested a madrasa teacher on charge of raping a first-grader in Jashore’s Manirampur upazila on Sunday. The arrestee Imran Hossain, 40, is an assistant teacher of the madrasa and a resident of Amdanga village in Abhaynagar upazila, said Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Manirampur Police Station. After the end of the class on Sunday, Imran sent all students to play on the madrasa field except for the victim and raped her in the classroom, the OC said.
