MLB: Barry Zito rooted against S.F. Giants in 2010 World Series
When the San Francisco Giants captured the 2010 World Series title, their first since moving to California five decades prior, Barry Zito celebrated with his teammates. On the inside, he couldn't stand it. Zito had struggled down the stretch that year. The southpaw — who was in the fourth season of a seven-year, $126 million deal (which made him the highest-paid pitcher in major league history at the time) — was subsequently left off the Giants' playoff roster.
