Mind if I ask who is "us"? Do you guys have a roadmap or previous funding? Have you considered broadcasting your information with Utopian (requires open sourcing some tech)?
Is this just a payment system in front of some basic streaming service or is the blockchain used in ways other than just voting?
Are you affiliated with DTube or just a coincidentally similar name? What kind of support is behind DLive?
The use of account creation via Anonsteem when you have a "team" that is clearly knowledgable with blockchain developing is worrying.
Why pay more for something when you can do it yourself? Unless you are buying anonymity for some reason ....
I hope all my fears are just me being cynical.

Thanks for your interests in DLive. We would be more than happy to share more on our roadmap with the community soon.
We are not quite familiar with Utopian, but we will surely consider this. Our priority of this stage is launching a viable product as soon as possible to the community. We would like to take a closer look at Utopian.
We are not affiliated with DTube.
We are a team of 5 people based in Silicon Valley. Some of us are currently part-time, so we are also looking for more technical support. If you are around the area and interested in our project, please feel free to steem.chat us and we would love to discuss through text or in person. Regarding on using Anonsteem, it just makes things faster and easier.
So far, we only use the Steem blockchain for voting and money transactions.
Please keep following our progress and give us more feedbacks.
So are you guys an actual incorporation of just a group of friends? Silicon valley office space or just friends around the area and hitting up hacker spaces?
I am always curious to monitor and participate in the development of projects on the Steem blockchain. This is my home.
Any plans to go open source? Can we get some teasers about the tech or backend? IPFS? 3rd party service with a payment layer in front of it?

I think Dlive and Dtube are good projects. You all should work together to get these projects to an outstanding perform. Don't forget to do a tutorial.
I agree with this post, sometimes they want us to be slaves of their ideas to get a miserable share. And unfortunately that creates a reject for "anything that it is online."

Hi @dlive, @netuoso's points are more than valid. I'd like to ask how you're going to implement this.
Static content and videos can be uploaded to IPFS, thereby making them "decentralized" for our purposes. How do you plan to make live-streams decentralized?
Also, why are you telling us before the main features are developed? This is like selling batteries to a customer, and telling them that "batteries aren't included."

Live content can be static content on IPFS if its just broken up into blocks of short periods of time and constantly added, I really think there are better ways to do it though than IPFS.
True, but I don't think that's efficient enough and it'll likely cause staggered viewing or lag. I'm just interested in how they plan to make the live streaming decentralized, yet still provide quality viewing and minimal lag.
