Agree, of course.

I think what gets missed a lot with "arm teachers" is that literally no reasonable person that is for it is just saying "arm teachers."

They're saying "arm willing and qualified teachers."

No reasonable person wants to issue every single teacher a gun and just see what happens. If they're willing, then let them train. If they train, then let them carry, if they continue training.

Hell, I'd prefer to see active local law enforcement train the teachers and train alongside them. If anything, that helps positive identification from responding officers and lets armed teachers be comfortable with their specific local department's response procedures.

If the teachers armed are willing to be armed and can act responsibly, then there may be authority and more mass shooting deterrent to gain.
