An examination of media manipulation

in #doctrinatrix8 years ago

Earlier today I read a fascinating article on Stormfront and media manipulation. I'm well aware that pages like Canada First and Britain First use heartwarming or sentimental imagery to increase their shares among the population who are either on the fence or unaware of their politics most of the time, and angry or divisive sentiments (such as "shouldn't our veterans come before refugees") immediately following terrorist attacks.

The article basically discussed the idea that groups like Stormfront were not just relying on pages like Canada First anymore, but had branched out and were using imagery we would associate with the Nordic cultures like owls, white wolves, ravens, Valkeryies, etc., to spread their ideology.

A video discussed the use of the Odan rune in place of the swastika being used by the National Socialist party.

Evidence exists that Julian Assange aligns with Australia First, a party which is considered a hate group. I encourage you to do your own research and not just take my word for it.

I do not understand why it would be so difficult to believe that hate groups with nefarious connections conspired to use the media to manipulate and persuade angry and dissatisfied voters if you can believe that the D'aesch recruit extremists using Nutella and kittens.
