Obviously, the answer to that question is Dog!

But what does the bible teach us about dogs?

Personally, I grew up with dogs most of my life, and as kids we bred German Shepherds.

Anyway, you may not want to read what the Holy Bible has to say, I am just posting this for your info:

I will tell you a true story, based in a small country town of South East Queensland, where many people within the local church community owned dogs. Debra, the spiritual teacher, would give a weekly teaching from the bible. They were being taught about the imminent arrival of Christ, The New Jerusalem and the coming Rapture. One week she gave her church the scriptures regarding dogs:

Mat_7:6 Give not that which is holy to dogs;
Mat_15:26 Who answering, said: It is not good to take the bread of the children, and to cast it to the dogs.
Mar_7:27 Who said to her: suffer first the children to be filled: for it is not good to take the bread of the children and cast it to the dogs.
Php_3:2 Beware of dogs: beware of evil workers: beware of the concision.
Rev_22:15 Without are dogs and sorcerers and unchaste and murderers and servers of idols and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.

Due to that teaching by Debra, many members of the community took their beloved and loyal pets to the vet, and had them "put down."
A few who could not do that, left.

Ironically, years later, many of those original people, including Debra, now own dogs.

Clearly, we are not to put our dogs before our children or God, but going to the extreme of putting down one's dog, is obviously wrong.
