Dogecoin , a joke coin? No .. A payment coin, yes!
Made from an apparent joke about a Shiba Inu dog, Dogecoin has now become a payment solution for many who want to avoid the high costs associated with bitcoin or ethereum transactions. I see it as growing as a viable crypto payment solution for sure.
Not much information, and no apparent whitepaper. But it has definitely seen growth .
Look at cryptopia.co.nz , make an account, you see dogecoin as a crypto base for many other, some actually you only can purchase using doge. Pac Coin (PAC) can only be purchased through doge. I see dogecoin to the moon!

About
The Dogecoin Foundation is a Colorado non-profit corporation created for and by the members of the worldwide Dogecoin community and is incorporated under the Colorado Revised Nonprofit Corporation Act.
Our purpose is to facilitate the continuing prosperity of Dogecoin through promotional and charitable endeavors and we seek to foster and expand the community ideals of camaraderie and playful discovery and to empower people the world over.
Dogecoin is a fun, new and rapidly growing form of digital currency.
This form of digital currency is called "cryptocurrency"; a type of digital currency.
Cryptocurrency is completely anonymous, decentralized, and extremely secure.
Dogecoin is used with a wallet on your computer, your smartphone, or a website.
You can use it to buy goods and services, or trade it for other currencies (both other cryptocurrencies or traditional currency like US dollars).
One of the most popular uses for Dogecoin is "tipping" fellow internet-goers who create or share great content. Think of it as a more meaningful "like" or upvote, with real value that can be used all across the internet.
+Serving the Dogecoin Community.
The Dogecoin Foundation is a non-profit organization created by the Dogecoin community, for the Dogecoin community, to facilitate the use of Dogecoin through goodwill, promotional and charitable endeavors.
So whether there is a project that you would like to see happen or you just want to spread the love using the magic of doge, we invite you to work with us.
+Donating to Charities and Funding Causes.
The Dogecoin community, as you might know, is a friendly bunch of people. As a community, we make massive efforts to help people whether they're on the moon or on Earth. That's just our nature.

Promoting the use of Dogecoin - our fun currency.
We all wish Dogecoin will reach the moon, may that day be sooner or later. But it all starts with what us, the community, can do. The Dogecoin Foundation helps promote Dogecoin, so more and more people know about it and we can get it in the hands of more shibes. Think of us as the "backend" of the Dogecoin community.
