Dogecoin, a nevertheless interesting cryptocurrency cloned from bitcoin was launched in early December 2013. Soon to follow was a dogecoin community known for its not-so-serious , friendly and generous spirit.

The doge community soon grew and shortly after; ventured into more serious endeavors with the community raising money to fund a bobsled team to the olympics and water wells in developing countries such as kenya, among other charitable initiatives.

The meme friendly cryptocurrency was looking ahead to a bright future. However fast-forward to today and dogecoin along with its once optimistic, friendly and joyful community appears to be slowly fading away into oblivion.

There may be a number of reasons to explain the current situation of the currency or why it hasn't made much strides given the upward momentum it once had.

This will be discussed in a later article while I continue to collect a few opinions from the still-active members of the dogecoin community.

"shibes ????!"

To be continued..........
