Best stamps ever: The Dogs of Paraguay
On a weird hunch yesterday, I googled "dogs of Paraguay." And found the best stamps I've ever seen.
Over the years Paraguay has given dogs -- dogs of the world -- marquee treatment. Like this Mexican hairless guy from 1975.
The boxer made the cut in 1983.
And also in 1975.
Things got weirder in 1982, with this shared incubation space -- of a collie and a Boy Scout?
This collie, meanwhile, got preferential treatment. (Though seems a little lonely.)
The focused hunting dogs of 1975 clearly know the one job they have to do. But Dandy McGee on the horse seems well aware of the "camera."
Things getting sassy in 2005.
