Mm... And as i suspected Mr Robot managed to Reference while Not referencing.

They set up this "Machine" that would reset time since season 1, turns out that while this machine did technically exist... and we get a whole third act of an episode seemingly showing such a time altered parallel universe... Turns out it was Alllllll a dream and the machine didn't work, despite the show doing its absolute best to indicate there was a machine capable of resetting time..

So, as I predicted... They managed to Do it and Show it but leave themselves an out as an excuse so they can say it wasn't really about the thing it was really attempting to show you it was.

So.. Gwreat.

It's literally all they were ever gonna do, they've done this a hundred times in a hundred other shows, they show you practically everything up to the point where they'd be in danger of being said to have exposed too much which results in some weird heel turn in the narrative where its discredited just enough as to not be seen as a complete reveal of some secret bullshit they were trying to talk about.

In this case it was the time manipulation aspect.

There was REM cloning in it too with how the main charscter sometimes goes to sleep and wakes up as someone else but cant remember.. And there was a super creepy scene in season 1 that used the Under The Skin creepy alien seductress movie music while the main character interacts with a beautiful woman who if you think she's a vril is just taking advantage of its beautiful woman body and baby, using the most protected aspects of human society as its armor. No would would objectively look at these two and think the woman with the baby is the villain. They know that, they use that. Not great.

They show the contrast by literally upping the contrast toward the end of the scene. How clevahhh....

I've watched this series as it came out in 2015, im glad its finally over.

Ultimately all this was Was the most artsy farsty version of trying to showcase something real in the world and its Because of the arsty farsty and its elongated reveals that it stuck in the public consciousness like it did, its mysteries seemed so fascinating and people just wanted the answers which kept them hooked, and its all just designed that way. It kept Me hooked, and I knew this is what it was doing..

and yet, im still pissed about the lackluster ending, despite the fact i know this series is simply just means to hint wrapped in gloss, despite the fact i know that, im still annoyed at this like its a real Tv series.

Thats weird.

I guess we can disassociate almost as much as the main character of the show itself.

Ohwell.
