RE: You know SBI but do you remember Bernie Madoff Ponzi Scheme

in #downvotes5 years ago

I understand your frustration completely and believe it’s one of the hurdles of a shared inflation pool, and a complete misunderstanding of how it works by most users.

It’s like we are all playing in one sandbox, with different goals etc.

I came here to ask a question, as while I fully support using ones stake to allocate that shared inflation to what they see adds value (or reallocating in the case of downvotes), I generally like to know the why. Why gives a possible avenue for a solution that benefits all.

Sort:

I must leave a comment about what he has stated.

All my downvotes are manual and goes to "sponsors" who are trying to get in the ring new members and increase own ranking in the circle.

"All" his downvotes manual and only going after sponsors ... 😂😂😂 Please, go look at the different threads and you will find people who never sponsored anyone. They received the share because someone somewhere valued their work at wanted to give them something.

New members ... Yeah, I admit. A couple may have received their very first share. As for the rest, the list of people were from the comments they themselves left on his four posts prior to me releasing "Steem N' Roses." Other where from the upvotes these people either left manually or have set to auto upvote someone they trust and follow.

Or they are members of whom I know have SBI shares who have been visiously attacked by this person.

As for the other 60 he left out, they all own shares and the list was given to me by @josephsavage, the discussion can be found within "Steem N' Roses."

My point is that I pulled in close to no new members.

They know how to avoid downvotes but they keep sending STEEM to steembasicincome account, their choice

Sounds like a threat to me.

Now, tristancarax spent 200 STEEM for vote buying and wrote a post about it, c-squared upvoted his post. I don't want to have anything to do with witnesses who are supporting

260 people. Geeze! And more still to come. Guilty as charged.

Oh, my God! Those people that got 1 whole extra share will get a whole whopping 0.003, maybe less - I'm not sure how it calculates. I'm pretty sure it isn't enough to completely destroy his piggy bank. I could be wrong. 😀

@justineh, thanks for your kind response. This helps me feel like I'm being heard. Thanks again.

@mariuszkarowski - a.k.a. @mmmmkkkk311 - isn't considering the above at all. He is simply attacking people who are bringing value to the platform because he doesn't like the program and thinks what he thinks is correct without giving any evidence to back up what he says and without learning about it (you can scroll through the feeds yourself to see if I'm telling you the truth or not).

I'm a homeless person who makes cents on the hours of work I may put into a post. This is not what I'm worth; I'm worth so much more but I'm willing to work for little at this current time because I love this place and what it has done for me. I have a community that I belong to. This is so not normal for me in my everyday life. My writing has improved and I continue to strive to improve, not only because of the above pic, but also because I do get support from you over at @c-squared and a few others from time to time - which makes my DAY! - From what I've noticed, you guys don't support those who fit into the above pic. either. - No other platform that I've been on has been so supportive.

It sickens a lot of us to see greedy people like @mariuszkarowski - a.k.a. @mmmmkkkk311 - destroying this place. However, because most of us are poor, our voices are not heard and/or listened too (this comes after being here consistently for about two years now and sitting back and reading, as I'm usually not prone to just open my mouth because I want to hear myself talk).

I do hope you will continue to support creative people, like myself, who bring so much to this platform and get paid nothing in compared to what they are actually worth instead of cowing down to some greedy _______ (insert word of choice) who has a lot of money behind him. The platform can survive without greedy people but it can't survive without content creators who bring the best work they can day in and day out to this platform.

One more thing: @mariuszkarowski - a.k.a. @mmmmkkkk311 - was a bid-bot owner. Let's ask him if there was any critira to be met in order to get an many upvotes, which may or may not have bee a profitable ROI. My guess, after having used them but a couple times in the past, NO would be the answer. If it was yes, then we would need to delve in further about why he hates @sbi so much and why he isn't willing to look at the facts and make an informed decision from the facts instead of giving us only what he thinks (which is only an opinion) about what he thinks he sees going on.

Thanks for your attention in this matter.

C-squared has, and always will, support content brought in by the community as long as it doesn’t go against our rules (spam or plagiarism). We have never, and will never, change our voting based on what a large account wants us to do.. we are fully non profit and are made of volunteers.. there is no reason for us to play politics and we don’t. We just curate 🙂

My comments outside of the one above are solely just me speaking though, and not on behalf of c-squared.. just want to make that clear.

To me quite frankly this seems like just miscommunication. You have a stake holder who wants to stop all voting buying and trading, and by the technical definition- that is what sbi is. That could be said about many “communities” that offer upvotes just for being members (and sometimes delegating) though too. It’s one of those “pick your battles” cases imo.. is the community or project adding value and helping to ensure those votes are not going to abuse? If so.. not sure it’s really worth going after tbh. But quite frankly, he’s not wrong that it is in fact vote buying at its core - I would just question if it’s actually done in a negative way.

Anyways, I hope you continue being a part of the community and sharing your content. Try not to focus so much on one individuals downvotes and rather focus on the engagement and interactions you enjoy. I’ve found normally these things are short term and work themselves out (especially when they aren’t blown up into a bigger deal).

Sorry I butted in, just the witness being removed is something I saw on our system and made me come look, then I got curious what was going on.

I'm here, especially after I read the other comments.

I know you didn't particularly like the way I did it or even agree with it but did you at least crack a smile? ;-)

I hope others will stop by to read what you wrote.

Thanks for your time.
