Charcoal Self Portrait #1

For my life studies class every few weeks we have to do a self portrait. This is my first one and I spent 2 hours on it.

I started with a charcoal background using vine charcoal , erased the light values , and added details with compressed charcoal .

Pretty pleased how it came out, even tho the likeness isn't exact and Iook kinda scared. :p What do you think?
