Drawing Before Bedtime

in #drawing7 years ago

Another vine charcoal drawing I just finished. I was doodling around tonight when I saw within my mind two massive elongated figures sitting at a stilt like table on stilt like chairs. I wish i could have captured it perfectly, but I'll take what I can get. I imagine them being hundreds of feet tall towering over anyone walking below. 20170628_235505.jpg
They look mischievous to me. What do you think they are talking about? Let me know in the comments.

If you like this sort of thing feel free to follow. I post weird stuff every week :)

Sort:

What a wonderful ability you have. I think they are talking about how to smuggle a drop of whisky into the tea cups!

I hope one of them brought their flask.

Cool stuff :) Did you have an intention when drawing the long legs of the stool?

Thanks. Nah I just thought it would look cool and unsettling

Wow this is cool. I like the style . Very ominous.

They are talking about their Nose. Why their noses is so big? :P first one is saying ," Hey, my nose is bigger than you." second one saying," so what ? my nose is more straight than you. haha" second one replied," oh o! i will beat the painter huu." and the painter is reading this comment. :P

He has the bigger nose and the taller hat. I'll have to be more fair next time haha.

Nice! They are obviously discussing world domination via black magic.

Sorry if I can't give a better reason, but I just like it Something about it just grabbed my attention.

Well i'm glad you like it :)

Beautiful creation! I really enjoy the elongation of the figures and how they are executed. The darkness give the work a dismal but deep aspect! I like it very much, thank you for sharing!

Nice...You're talented... I can't draw a straight line with a ruler.

Thanks. Just gotta practice, we all gotta start somewhere :)

Thanks :) I'm glad you like it

💜 this charcoal drawing reminds me of Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas and the Corpse Bride. :D Maybe that's what they're talking about too!

Yea I'm getting that Tim Burton vibe as well, especially from the legs.

I love your work. They are butlers. Discussing the families they work for. I imagine they are very proper and stodgy. I can practically hear the accents. My imagination thanks you for the image. I could write a story behind it.

Fantastic use of charcoal! I love the illusion of depth you have created in simplicity by vague outlines of forestry. there is almost a nightmare before Christmas vibe to this, which I am a huge fan of. I will most definitely be following your work.
