TIPS TO HAVE A SAFE DRIVE - DRIVE BACK TO YOUR FAMILY SAFELY

in #drive7 years ago (edited)

Hi Steemians!

Driving is the most common thing we do in our daily life. We drive to work and to home (vice versa).

Some of us may do commute to some public utility vehicle but still being aware on when and how to drive is important.
We may not know how to drive but for sure we know someone who drives, kindly pass this to him/her.

When driving safety is our main concern.

Last July 2016, I went through an accident, a motorcycle accident. Luckily, Im still alive and here posting what I learned on that certain accident. I have learned that driving is not as simple as 1 2 and 3. It takes concentration and alertness.

Here are the lessons I learned about driving after that accident:

DONT DRINK ALCOHOL AND DRIVE

Driving within the influence of alcohol makes you fearless. When you are fearless, you tend to speed up more and felt like an action star. But, this is a very no, no. Driving drunk may lead you asleep and may cause accidents.

P.S. Im not drunk during my accident.

DONT DRIVE WHEN ANGRY

Driving when angry is also very dangerous. It pumps your adrenaline and become fearless. Sometimes, traffic jams can upset us and driving when angry may lead to road rage. Let your anger subside before going for a drive.

DRIVING WITHOUT LICENSE

This is very important. We don't know what our future brings, we don't know, if we might get into an accident on that certain time, so bringing your license always during driving will help you protect under any violation.

DRIVING WITHOUT COMPLETE PROTECTIVE GEARS

We dont know when will accident come so, better prepared than sorry. Wearing protective gears (e.g helmets and pads) may help you survive during an accident.

PRAY BEFORE SETTING OUT TO THE ROAD

Prayer is the best defense we can get when we drive. When praying, it helps us clear our minds from distractions and help us be a responsible driver whenat the road.

Those lessons stated above helped me change my point of view when driving.
