To put it in perspective, I had the house to tidy.

Lazy? probably.

I decided to just record myself again rather than writing what was on my mind. I explain why at the start of the video, but I guess there is still a little bit of uncertainty within me to start writing deeply. Possibly, that's just my perception of it anyway. (An edit during the proof reading--To be honest, I think I just feel different about how I want to express myself.)

My first idea

There are two images below which demonstrate what my first idea was going to be, I just didn't get round to executing it well. Nevertheless, a little bit of fun for the topic of the week.

I thought the black areas at the top and bottom added the perception that the photo wasn't a photo at all. More like a still from a running movie. It's funny how something so simple can have such a dramatic effect on one's perspective. To be honest, that rule seems to carry weight no matter what the case.

Have you made any small changes in your life that have produced massive shifts in your perspective?

This has been my Drop in the Ocean post about the topic of Perception for the awesome BuddyUP community.

loved what you said about how insignificant that moment was....
it really does help to put it all into perspective - so that we can change our perception

woooooooooot. i'm getting it @shadowspub
LOLOL i'm just gonna keep tagging on you every comment so you can see i'm really trying to see the difference between the two words LOL

but yeah Cal... see this is what i meant about perspectives dividing. (the harmful ones)

when we allow our perceptions and perspectives (both in this case) to be the thing that causes us to pull away from people in anxiety and discomfort and confusion.... THAT'S the ones that I hate.
lol

i hate division. hate separation. hate that disconnect.

so glad you're back hinny <3

Totally, it's quite crazy how fast it can consume the mind if you let it! I definitely saw the importance of the two words when processing the whole situation. Perception means an awful lot more than we typically let on.

It's great to be back behind the wheel :) Was so good hearing from you all!

Sounds like you had quite a shift in perception, Cal. It's amazing what our perceptions can prevent us from doing and it's amazing when we finally make that shift, how much simpler and more enjoyable losing those distorted perceptions can be. :) Good for you! Your world just became bigger ;)

Without a doubt, it can really pull you under if you aren't careful! I am looking at the whole world in a different light after our discussions on the show and it's amazing how the whole day was a true enlightenment of the perception I hold and the perspective I have of the world around me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Yay - good for you with your change of perception. It's a horrible thought that fears about what other people think can stop you doing something you want to. B****cks to them :)

E x

Hahaha! Exactly! It's so insignificant, anyone who gives a damn is obviously spending too much time thinking inwardly rather than the opposite.

Thanks for stopping be @eveningart!

Very cool calu!! The photos are amazing and a great thought process on perception.

Thanks @eaglespirit! I was pretty chuffed with how that part turned out :)

Holy crap! That video... I know that my eyes crossed at least three times... and I tried to look away but was freaking hypnotized!! Omg shame Cal. Hahaha

I am happy that you had that change in perception. You will always be just like me and probably most... your own worst critic, and sometimes its good to see that things we are most critical over sometimes aren't as dire as we first thought them to be.

We grow and we learn and we change... that's what we do.

Haha! It is definitely a trip... bit of a perception wiggler while people listen :P

You're exactly right. Although I'm done with fear and how it consumes the mind, just comes to a point when you have to be like nah fuck that.
