Steemit Song Release, Only here, and Brand New!!

in #dsound7 years ago (edited)

Hello everyone, On this cloudy, Ohio Sunday afternoon I want to share a song that I wrote yesterday, so it's only here on Steemit!

This song refers to the Biblical story of Peter, and how he walked on water, if only for a moment. It's a discussion between two people in a broken relationship, and how one person is hopeful, and the other one is despondent.

Thanks again the the heartfelt comments on my posts these last several days. I really appreciate your support!

Lyrics:

Forgiveness please say I have it coming
Don’t tell me you’ll be running
Far away from here
Tomorrow things will be more steady
Tomorrow we’ll be ready
It’s bound to be more clear

I know that Peter walked on water
You don’t need to tell me
Of how the story ends
That he sunk into the sea

Remember when we went to the ocean
There was such devotion
When did it disappear
Failure now it’s our generation
It takes so much concentration
To overcome this fear

I know that Peter walked on water
You don’t need to tell me
Of how the story ends
That he sunk into the sea

Forgiveness please say I have it coming
Don’t tell me you’ll be running
Far away from here
Tomorrow things will be more steady
Tomorrow we’ll be ready
It’s bound to be more clear

I know that Peter walked on water
You don’t need to tell me
Of how the story ends
That he sunk into the sea

I know that Peter walked on water
You don’t need to tell me
Of how the story ends
That he sunk into the sea

Hope envelops your words yet, so does candor. I admire that greatly.

Your words run through the music with intention, and complete passion.

The repetition of the song flows smoothly, and I truly love the purpose revelation of it all. Great job!

Thanks for your words, and this picture!

Daniel i just heard it and could relate everything with my life.
It was awesome my friend.
i just wrote about perseverance and had just refreshed the page and saw this.

Thank you @thethinker007! I am so glad the timing worked out this way.

I followed you about a day ago and now most probably will see all your posts to listen your songs :)
You are really talented man!

Love your creations, my friend! Perhaps your's will be the first blockchain powered music album? :)

Possibly!

would be great :)

I like it! I’m a sucker for maximalist minimalism, and I really enjoyed it. My wife was listening from across the room and enjoyed it as well, although I think she’s siding with the hopeful person here, in that her first comment was, “but that’s NOT how the story ends.”

Thanks Juan! Maybe you can explain maximalist minimalism to me someday, meanwhile, your wife is right, I think.

I think I made it up. The term, that is. I mostly mean a full, complex sound built out of a small number of elements. Stuff like those choirs of Dan on the chorus.

Ha! I've got you now. You had me going down this road: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximalism

Hey, that's not a bad road to go down, necessarily! After all, the choirs of Dan could maybe be classed as either a flourish or a redundancy.

Maybe flourishly redundant, or redunantly flourished?

It may be redundant, but what a flourish? And if it’s a flourish, who cares if it’s redundant?

Another great and heartfelt offering.

Thanks @kryptoe! I'm listening to "Wake Up" as I type this!

Nice one bro....lyrics are really difficult to put up.... But you did very well with that.... Keep it up

Wow!!!! Amazing lyrics. Read every single line. U're very creative. Keep up the good work

I congratulate you friend, what a beautiful song I've heard, that arpeggiated guitar style and those melancholic melodies give the perfect touch to your song, in reality you have a lot of talent, I had a lot of time without listening to a good song and today thanks to you I heard it, I am a musician and I play guitar and other instruments and I write songs, and yours is expectacular, I will follow you and I hope you follow me and support me, regards

Thanks for these words. I've followed you as well!
