Introduction

One of the business, I’ve always wanted to venture into is fishing pond business but due to some financial constraints, I had to pause but hopefully, I’ll start up again. In today’s post, I’ll be sharing with us my expansion plans and strategies including how my crew and I will be working with customers.

But let me use opportunity of inviting @lovelystar, @chiomi and @xkool24

1st Section: Are you planning any expansion of your business?

(Proposed fish pond site)

Expanding my fish pond business is like going to the sea and casting a bigger net to catch more fish. The more fish I catch, the more profit I make. For an entrepreneur like me, there are some few strategies I plan to consider when I want to expand my fish pond business and they include;

  • A little bit of market research will suggest, if I should enlarge my business or not because It would be a loss on my part, if I expand my fish business, only to have low demand from customers.

  • The research will also give me insight, if I should consider diversifying to other potential new market. for instance , producing a new specie of fish like tilapia, catfish etc.

  • Seek funds from family, friends and banks, so that I can get more ponds, feeds, and other advanced equipment to run the expansion of the business successfully
  • Introducing technology and infrastructure like automated feeding systems, monitoring quality water digitally and improving pond management practices is like having a lifeguard on duty 24/7 because it will give me time to relax and do other things, while my fish flourish.

With all this in place, the business can achieve sustainable growth and also make good profit

2nd Section: If you are trying to expand your business, what are your strategies

Before expanding my fish pond business, it’s important I make some little research about my competitors running the same kind of business. Think of it like entering a fishing competition, knowing who else is casting their net is key. A little digging about who they are, what makes their fish unique and whether they have the best of offers or customer service will help me position my business competitively.

My expansion strategy includes a well thought out business plan that will guide me throughout the growth phase, market analysis and also identifying underserved regions like northern Nigerians that are predominantly farmers and have less time for fish business.

my vision is to be the top supplier of quality fish in my state, known not just for my succulent fish but also managing a fish pond business that’s reliable and of top quality. To achieve this, strong management practices is essential.

For such an expansion , I will seek expert support to manage the difficulties that comes moving from a small to a large-scale fish pond business. As for financing, I intend investing my personal money or getting support from family and friends or bank loans..

3rd section Are you paying attention to your customer service or planning to provide better service?

Excellent customer service is essential in every business and my fish pond business won’t be left out. So I plan to ensure my fishes are delivered on time especially to wholesaler and restaurants that rely on my products.I will try and create an avenue, where customer can give me feed back about their experiences, allowing me to address any challenges

Been transparent is key when it comes to customer service. So, I’ll always tell them the truth on the different quality of fish to build that confidence and trust between me and the customer. Additionally, I plan to dedicate a customer service line, so that I’ll be easy to reach when needed and offer incentives like discount sales to customers who bought large quantity of fish or free delivery for a month, to my best customer.

While handling customer service by myself can be beneficial, working with experts in the field especially in the initial stage of the expansion can be invaluable. The experts can train my team on how to handle client complaints like professionals to ensure smooth operation.

4th Section: Do you and your crew understand how to work with customers?

Of course, i and my crew know how vital it is to build a solid relationship with our customer because without them, we won’t even be existing. Like I mentioned earlier, a dedicated line will always be on standby to always listen to their needs and respond to their demands. That will make them feel valued.

Good customer care services goes beyond just putting out fires— It's about proactively addressing challenges and ensuring smooth operation of the fish business. As we become consistent in this little things, it leaves a lasting impression and makes them a loyal customer.
Our goal is to make sure that each time the customers visit the fish pond business, they always get a top notch service.

As our faces are different, so is our needs and that’s what makes us unique. So, as a team, we’ll try to tailor our services to fit each individual needs and provide a structured feedback system. This will help to shed more light on how to satisfy our customers, areas we excel and where we can do better.

Thank you @ruthjoe for the upvote

Fish pond business is profitable if done at a larger scale, one of my friend tried here in India but it failed due to security and lack of funds.
But i hope you succeed just plan the execution part well.

Best regards friend.

Fish bond business is a nice idea, just like you have mentioned making proper survey before expansion is amazing. I can agree with you that customers are the king in any business and without them no business will grow. I can conclude that you are knowledgeable about how to maintain good customer relationship.

My friend, I hope those dreams come true, you are an enthusiastic young man, by the way you were missed in the writing course, at least I haven't come across your participation this week.

Back to the subject of entrepreneurship, you should certainly analyze well, sure you have a lot of competition but often that does not matter if you know how to do things well, so success and a big hug.

In English and literature classes, our teacher only taught us about figures of speech in poetry, they never really thought us how to write poem…😊😊😊

But when it comes to storytelling, whether it comes out perfectly or not, all the things u see around u can create a story to tell..

a lot of competition but often that does not matter if you know how to do things well

I’ve always hated competitions but it turns out that is the only thing that can make us perform better and put in more effort…
