Nine is a very special number, according to viking mythology; Odin gave one eye away, to the giant Mimir to drink from the well of wisdom, threw himself over his spear and then hanged himself from the Yggdrasil tree during nine days and nine nights to obtain knowledge from other worlds, after that he was able to understand the runes that are one of the most primitive alphabets of the human kind. Hope this week is as special as that story to everyone and you can keep on learning for your own privilege and well being.

My entry for this week is Paula Tiene an original song that i wrote a few months ago, the song is a heavy rock/reggae fusion with some latin vibes and the lyrics talk about Paula who's a very dear friend of mine about 17 or 18 years old (i'm not really sure lol). i wrote this song for her because i think that she is a very talented musician and a great human being with lots of capabilities, however sometimes she gets depressed by things that are out of her control like her boyfriend or simply because she feels that no one cares for her, the song lyrics explicitly says that she has an older soul that wants to go to the moon and be like stardust (simply put: she wants to die) but because of that she is also a very wise and especial person, like Odin maybe.

Nueve es un número muy especial, según la mitología vikinga; Odín le dio un ojo al gigante Mimir para beber del pozo de la sabiduría, se arrojó sobre su lanza y luego se colgó del árbol Yggdrasil durante nueve días y nueve noches para obtener conocimiento de otros mundos, después de eso pudo entender las runas que son uno de los alfabetos más primitivos de la raza humana. Espero que esta semana sea tan especial como esa historia para todos y que puedan seguir aprendiendo por su propio privilegio y bienestar.

Mi entrada para esta semana es Paula Tiene una canción original que escribí hace unos meses, la canción es una fusión de rock pesado/reggae pesado con algunas vibraciones latinas y la letra habla de Paula quien es una muy querida amiga mía de unos 17 o 18 años (no estoy muy seguro jajaja). Escribí esta canción para ella porque creo que es un músico muy talentoso y un gran ser humano con muchas capacidades, sin embargo, a veces se deprime por cosas que están fuera de su control como su novio o simplemente porque siente que nadie se preocupa por ella, la letra de la canción dice explícitamente que tiene un alma antigua que quiere ir a la luna y ser como polvo de estrellas (en cierta forma: quiere morir) pero por eso también es una persona muy sabia y especial, como Odin tal vez.

When i recorded the entry for the SGL contest, i was at @saavedra house, we made the video with his tablet and then he encouraged me to do the song again but in english, i really improvised all of it, but i'll leave that take as well here as an easter egg // Cuando grabé la entrada para el concurso SGL, estaba en la casa de @saavedra, hicimos el video con su tableta y luego me animó a volver a hacer la canción, pero en inglés, realmente improvisé todo, pero dejaré esa toma aquí como un plus.
