Question: Is DTube truly decentralised if Steemit have to rent IPFS space from a third party?

Is DTube truly decentralized?

I love the idea behind DTube and its by far the most impressive Youtube alternative out there right now (IMO). But I can't help but get worried about its idea of its decentralization.

The fact it uses IPFS is great, but is it truly decentralized if the people at Steemit have to rent IPFS servers themselves? If tomorrow that third party host shut down or the people at Steemit can no longer afford to keep their servers running, our videos would go to the abyss, right?

Is there a way we can further decentralize the IPFS part somehow?

Maybe users that really like a video and want to show support could help host it and get some cryptocurrency in return? What can we do to boost data redundancy when it comes to IPFS? I'm aware that I can install IPFS myself and DTube, but it doesn't seem many people are currently doing this unless I'm completely unaware of whats going on.

I'm curious to hear you guys feedback on this!
