Introduction to Flote.App // A New Censorship-Resistant Social Media Site!

Hi Friends!

In today's video - I'm walking through an exciting new social media site called Flote. They are a censorship-resistant social network and marketplace with a focus on user privacy and monetization.

I've had a chance to get to know some of the founders Erin Nakamoto and Kingsley Edwards online and I actually get to meet them in a few days at Anarchadelphia! I just joined their platform last week and have been having a lot of fun on it! It's kind of like Twitter in the sense that you can post photos, quick thoughts, or links to articles or videos.

They also have a patreon-type integration into the site where people can subscribe to their favorite creators by supporting them with BTC.

As censorship becomes a hotter topic and more and more creators get shadowbanned, deleted or de-monetized... having more social media sites that focus on user privacy will be super important.
