Dtube exclusive...capturing some of the destructive force of Category 5 Irma as she ravaged the island of St Maarten/ St Martin

in #dtube7 years ago

This is another in a series of Dtube exclusive videos capturing the destructive force of Category 5 Irma as she ravaged the island of St Maarten/ St Martin. These series of videos cannot be found anywhere else and are intended to show the potential destructive force of Hurricane Irma that I experience. This scene captures moments after we escaped from the third flow of the building and I was located on the second floor at the time of recording this video. Extremely grateful to the neighbors who welcome us during this difficult time. Soon after recording this video I had flee to safety inside as the visibility was zero and random objects were being toss to and fro. You can get much of my experience as I detailed the entire story in these blogs

During this period I would be most grateful for your support as I try to rebuild during this difficult period in my life. The love and support from the Steemit community has been lots of brotherly and sisterly love, particularly want to thank @kid4life and @lexiconical for their initial outpouring of unbelievable support and all those that has supported me during this period. That's one of the main reasons why I have made these videos strictly exclusive to the Dtube and Steemit community. My hope is that you are edified of the destructive force of Hurricanes.

I would greatly appreciate further support (Upvote) and you can do it through those following means

Wow, that is one hectic minute, and it was like that for hours? Days? The tree lying in the road, the corrugated metal on the cars and debris flying around...so scary. Glad you're ok. Keep posting as long as you can so we can follow your situation. Resteeemed in the meantime.

Yea gonna continue to post as much as possible on the topic, it last for roughly 9 hours, this part look good compared to other areas

So sorry for the loss incurred by all the people hit by this terrible hurricane @daudimitch

Resilience and the will to live, the material possession gone but life still remains and that's the most important thing

It sure is @daudimitch

That storm affected so many it will be the most historic hurricane, here in Tampa we dodged another direct hit, but all of the state was affected.

Consider your area bless man, this season I hope is just an irregular and not the usual to come

We were blessed , thanks.
I'm sure the earth goes through changes, and not something of the bull we get from the global warming, or cooling depends which side they choose, but I do believe that haarp has affected our atmosphere and if they continue to use it we could face more changes.

I keep hearing about HAARP but haven't done any due diligence on the subject to really give depth or understanding to the subject...but what I do know from growing up the tropics these unbearable heat and weird weather patterns are unprecedented...Sometimes I find myself running from the sun and unbearable heat and the frequency and intensity of the weather pattern is totally new...interesting all the US territory and dependencies within the Caribbean suffered major damage during this Hurricane season coinciding with the US stance to pull from the Paris Agreement, probably a sign from the Gods or who knows.............

Wow! That is some storm! Thanks for bringing it to us and so glad to know you are safe now. I'm sure there is a lot to do to recover. Praying for you and for all who suffered through this.

Thanks for the love and prayers, need every bit of it

Keep posting as often as you can. Take care of yourself and loved ones.

Yea gonna do it as much as I can, thank you for the support

It's so dangerous and life taking storm. So destructive.

It gives you second thoughts about life, all that you work hard for gone within a matter of minutes...then your body switch to survival mode as life basics become a precious commodity...probably these disasters could be the wake up call to bring us together and probably 'global warming' if the data continues to point in that direction could be the one thing that mankind can really work hard together to resolve but we see how things untold...we tend move on quickly and forget lessons learnt

Just watching you work to keep the camera still is a reminder of the power of that storm. Thanks for posting these videos.

Yep, I was on high alert as galvanize among other things were being toss to and fro, and if I am not stable the wind could easily toppled me over...I had to flee for safety after the visibility and strength of the wind intensified...seeing some of the aftermath of the Hurricane really highlights how fragile we are to these disasters, if you are familiar with containers that heavy-duty vehicle carry, the wind easily toppled and toss distance away...in some cases vehicles wrap around poles and toss neatly one and top the other...the bending of steel that house the telecommunication system...I read some comments online about these people in the Caribbean don't build strong houses but I really don't think people comprehend how powerful these Hurricanes can be and you are simply at its mercy on the given day...well you see the building that I mention in my post, well imagine that was dancing to and fro, you can see how much of a solid structure that was and the roofing design for that but even that did not stand up long to the force of the wind, we can still count ourselves lucky the island of Barbuda was declared uninhabitable after Hurricane Irma nothing stand up

People that say Caribbean houses are not built for these hurricanes, have never been through one of these hurricanes. Indeed, you are blessed that you can rebuild while Barbuda must be cleared off.

It's the best time to invest if you want a piece of the tropical paradise and offers many safe haven opportunity depending on the country of choice, though the US passing of FATCA may not make this as appealing as it used to be...the people with the weak houses comments, I let them be...
