It's very easy to get tux in your terminal. You can even change the ASCII animal simply by replacing tux with other animal names, or just removing the "-f tux" altogether.
To view the .bashrc file in the file browser in the home directory, you must press Ctrl + H to show hidden files.
To access the Application finder in XFCE, you can press Alt + F2
You can also get the text itself by just using the command fortune. Cowsay simply displays the ASCII character.
