Vlog #82: Blogging vs. higher STEEM price.

I'm very happy with the Steemprice at the moment. It seems to be fairly stable around $1.40.
Every time we have these pumps (>$0.50) I realize how much more efficient it is to have the STEEM price go up for the bigger STEEM holders than to blog for it.
I truly enjoy blogging so it’s a win-win for me. But it can’t compete with a STEEM price rise monetary speaking.
And STEEM is still in the +-10 cents swings territory. Once this changes to dollars the difference will be even greater. It boggles my mind for sure.
I can honestly say it’s now the best investment I ever made.

I'm hoping that Steem has found it's new low and will upward from here. The reports that @lukestokes does are incredibly informative along with the daily reports by @penguinpablo. They both allow you get an inside glimpse of what is really happening with Steem coming into and leaving the platform.
With the most recent price drop, I really thought we'd see the power downs decrease, and find it incredibly strange they did not. My only reasoning I can see for this is that there's a lot of people who are still trading Steem instead of holding Steem. I have been hoping that as time passes, we will attract more investors. People who actually purchase Steem and power it up. That hasn't been the case it seems yet, but I believe it will come to fruition given more time. Steemit is still a baby right now, and with the introduction of Dtube and pretty soon Zappl, Steem will be introduced to quite a few more people. What I thought was really cool is Dtube was mentioned in the comments of a financial vlog I frequent on Youtube last night. So the word is starting to get out there.
Love how you broke down how much you can make from Steem simply moving .01. Just goes to show you the financial leverage you can create by holding Steem Power. Steem I feel is so under valued right now and it's utility very misunderstood. There are more real world monetary transactions made in Steem than any other crypto. I don't know why that's not discussed more, but I feel that's incredibly telling and a very important aspect of Steem. Great vlog brother and can't wait to see the t-shirt with the @exyle logo. Have a great night man!
I also believe Dtube has the potential to be a gamechanger for the Steem blockchain.
I guess a messy room leads to a messy mind. It probably does have a negative psychological effect if your room is untidy and I think it may have a physical and emotional drain and strain on someone.
It seems like the Steem price is consolidating around the $1.40 mark except for on Poloniex as poloniex is always trying to make things difficult and deter people from the coin.
I guess most people are in here for the long term hold for steem as it is going to be worth a lot in the future as the platform starts getting millions of users and this limited supply of steem gets scarcer.
Steem Power is an added benefit of holding this amazing coin and I think everyone should get as much steem as they can before it gets more and more expensive (even though compared to the past it is worth quite a lot).
I saw @lukestokes post and it blows my mind how much steem power is being pulled out and withdrawn but as you said it is a bit weird to see the price also going up despite the fact there is more liquid steem.
Great to see you are still going to pushing with the steemfat journey and you are letting nothing deter you despite the pitfalls. I can't wait to see the exyle sports t-shirt @exyle! :)
I just wanted to say that I hope you continue to vlog as often as possible. I understand your point about the price going up and how that's better than the return on your blogging. However, steem needs you and those like you that are always positive. Your positive outlook on steem helps me very much. When ever I have a moment of doubt, I search our your latest post to get some motivation to keep moving forward!
Thank you! That's really nice of you to say!
Very good points there. It really will be mind-boggling when it's fluctuating in dollars, instead of cents.
I definitely agree, for any whale it would be a better investment in the price rather than blogging. However, in the same breath, let's say a person makes $100+ per day after curation, then that still $3000+ per month. Over 12 months that's $36K. Imagine price getting to $10, how much that initial 'blog money' would be worth!
The way I like to see it, is the price of STEEM being the investment, and rewards from the blogging replicating the investment model of Dollar Cost Averaging. Because no matter what the price of STEEM is, we will always be getting the same value.
Nice post. It made my mind think a little :) Talk soon!
Thanks for introducing me to STEEMIT, I will try to get the hang of it a.s.a.p. even though I'm more a "reader" than "writer" on the internet I really like the concept of "adding to the system". Keep up the good work!
He, man and welcome!
Steem price increases are the best for people holding large amounts of Steem. It's still better if you do both as you continue to gain additional Steem from being involved in the platform.
Very true, Steem is the best investment for genuine bloggers and for them the price fluctuations in Steem does not bother anymore, as the long-term benefits far more higher.
I completely agree! My rewards and payouts are being able to express my creative side to a platform that gets me :) If it pays off in a year or two, great! But short term, I think just the safety net of being with people of "like minds" is worth its weight in gold :)
IMHO, everyone who thinks buying Steem at these bargain prices (<0.0003 BTC) is still to expensive for him, is making a HUGE mistake. These prices can't last for long.
Get em while you can !
Interesting thoughts about Steem Power. Sure the increase in price is very important, but it's unreliable.
I liked the idea that people with a lot of SP are kind of incentivised to take care of the network so, the price is stable.
Yes I Very Much Agree with you @exyle
I think at this time next year people will say boy I wish I would have opened up a STEEMIT Account, I could have made a boat load on STEEM. That is OK because all of us here now have that opportunity. STEEM On !!!
I have heard people say this already this year :)
Thank you @exyle for interacting and replying to your commenters. It is important to show that we are all real people here on STEEMIT.
This is so impressive.
