Vlog 159: Crypto market thoughts + SMT's for projects on the Steem blockchain.
Blockchain will change the world I am convinced of that.
I am not convinced that the markets we see today are part of that change (yet).
The speed of which they go up is mindboggling.
I feel lucky I don't have to trade these markets.
I can feel my mind is a little bit conflicted because of this.
To ease my mind I took some more crypto profit, while I wait, to see how things develop.

Steepshot
There is a new Steepshot update out! here.
Steepshot is an Instagram app on the Steem blockchain.
They have a web version and an Android version.
The iOS version is delayed because they have some trouble getting the app approved by Apple.
@blockbrothers knows this feeling very well because we also had a lot of trouble convincing the people at Apple to approve Steemify
Again this is not a bad thing. Apple is just a little stricter when it comes to apps in the store.
I did have a chance to try out Steepshot on my alternative account.
The web app works perfectly on the iPhone and it's a lot of fun!

Hey @exyle just got the Steemify app on my iPhone. What a great tool! And simple. Btw, I think the app icon needs to have more contrast. It looks kinda muted compared to the other icons that I thought it didn’t finish downloading earlier!

Hey @kevinwong. (I hope you get this on your phone). Thanks, man! You are right about the icon. It's already being worked on by our designer. I have facebook but I rarely use it. I am on steemit chat and discord.
Lots of apps to check out over the weekend! Anyway catcha on steemit.chat might have some app ideas to run through you :)

I already turned most of my ETH into other crypto (STEEM, EOS, OMG and others), so the bit I got left I'm probably going to hodl a bit longer. Let's see where it takes us from here. I also thinkk there will be a correction heading our way, but who knows when that'll happen. I never thought BTC would go this high in the first place, and taking that as a benchmark for other crypto, I think there's a bright future ahead for Steem.
That's always the question. It's why I'm taking profit gradually.
I converted some of my ETH into STEEM POWER. This network is fun and rewarding at the same time :)

Have you thought about putting some of your profits into property? I'm not sure how affordable it is in the Netherlands right now but it's more exciting than fiat and returns a passive income from rent.
I think most cryptos will see a correction before all goes to the moon again come 2018 and great news about the SMT and hardfork 18...we will see a happy 2018 soon..keep steeming bud and feel free to see my new posts about once in a life time opportunity...success to you.
Every time I've thought this, it kept going up...I sold BTC at $4,000...then the rest at $8,000...and here we are, soon to hit 20k.
Not a bad idea to take some profits, but I know I would have been much better off if I just HODL.
you are right. i have been feeling tempted to sell ,especially when btc climbed up last week. strill feel that way but trying to control my self and HODL
Absolutely, bitcoin might pass 100K in 2 years time...holding is great however at least you made good profits....better see my post for a new opportunity ...wish you success.

Great video. Your right. It is strange chatting with people that are clueless on Cryptocurrency. There are a lot of people that just want to dismiss it and not waste their time.
Already there are a lot of applications built on top of the steem blockchain. With SMTs the ecosistem will grow exponentially, exciting stuff.
You are absolutely right in that it would be a good opportunity to try the application from the Steepshot, since mobile applications are always good because of the ease of use. What do I do today, in principle! Thank you @exyle and keep us informed.
I know it's not and easy stuff, to get app approved from apple, but am happy that the steemify app got approval from them. I will like to say well done at @exyle and @blockbrothers you guys are really doing a great work.

That is motivating. I was carrying around this idea of a Memory Coin to unite memory sports and memory coaches worldwide, in which I am heavily invloved since 2003. I could pull the strings and bring the best memory athletes in the world together and train and teach on a platform based on a SMT. However, finding investors for an ICO scares the shit out of me and I would rather make it a silent beginning and then hand it over to the world.
