RE: [Deleted]
the original post by @hgn66 here contained the following sentence right below the video:
Attention, I do not reclaim any part of this video. This video is directly uploaded from youtube channel, Word Porn. All Credits goes to this channel. I post this to spread the good word.
see: original tx before edit
So I think this doesn't actually fit your definition of plagiarism.
@hgn66 immediately removed the content after @cheetah's visit and then made this comment concerning dtube's new "share-from-url" feature:
I think you may need an option on the platform, for the videos that are reposts. Because as soon as you repost a video (claiming that is not your work also), it is uploaded on steemit too and it can be considered as plagiarism.
I know you're probably not reviewing this comment and there's no downvote to dispute, I just wanted to clarify this in case anyone else comes here thinking @hgn66 might have actually tried to plagiarize. I had to do some digging here to alleviate my concerns, and I'll spare anyone else the effort with the linked findings here.
@hgn66, I think you should have stood your ground on this matter, maybe added a small paragraph of text why you wanted to share this to calm down @cheetah... this wasn't plagiarism, you clearly stated the original creator and the fact that this is not your own work.
@fraenk
First... good for you, for standing up for this Steemian....
@hgn66 and I met in the @steemterminal... he is a wonderful guy that cares about his content, and prides himself on citations and source. His last post was quite nice, and truth be known, he worked on it for 2 days... coming to the @steemterminal several times, to ask about proper coding etc...
I'm just here to chime in, and vouch for this Steemian...
