Peking Duck, Intestines, Neck & More at Quanjude in Shanghia
"Pang Zi" (Fatty) - yes that's really his name - treats Cami and I to an amazing meal at Quanjude (全聚德) in Shanghai including Peking Duck and More.
First up Duck Intestines (鸭肠) and Bean Sprouts(豆苗)
Followed by Kung Pao Chicken (宫保鸡丁).
Peking Duck (北京烤鸭) is the main course followed by the deep fried duck remains.
Peking Duck is a famous dish originating from Beijing during the imperial era. It is now found throughout China and the world. The roasted duck is sliced in front of us and served with sugar, cucumber, onion and duck sauce. All of this is then wrapped inside a thin "spring-pancake" (春餅). The meat, epically the crispy skin, is extremely rich and flavorful.
Peking Duck is a must try while in China.
