Busking Singapore Train

I saw this video on twitter and found it compelling to share. A couple of travelers playing to the beat of American Rock & Roll.

I thought this was pleasant and should be an interesting morning for commuters in the train. Most times, commuters would just be glued to their phones and tuned-in to their headsets.

Alas, I was wrong!

The comments, mostly criticisms, came from all around the world. The travelers were referred to as leches to society, useless begpackers, noise producers, and a whole lot of names.

Some raised issue with them busking in the train (a place where commuters were much prefer peace & quiet) instead of a more public area, like along Orchard Road or the MRT underground walkways. Also, issue with a lack of busking license was brought up.

Why is the world so negative? Or is it only in Asia that we're so narrow-minded and/or so self-absorbed?
