You might be at that stage where you are just following so many people because you are really excited!! New place, new people and you just want to check out everyone's profile. In the long-term you will have your community and people that you resonate with the most and the rest, well, you will have to filter out a bit.
You might follow them again, but don't be following 100s of people and then you are like "who are you?"

I'm following over 100 people and I can still manage my feed, I'm actually surprised how many people don't post much on here :P
It's not about how many people we are following, but are we following people that we have built relationship with or ones that we actually like their content? Because in my case, at the beginning, I just tried to follow many people, which is ok at the beginning, but in the long run...it's very bad.

That's totally true! I tried keeping my list at around 100. Similar with what you shared, it's better to follow a few whom we really want to interact with. Also, you can build relationship faster by focusing your energy on a few first. Then maybe you can start growing when you already established some connection.
By the way, your videos never fail to amuse and give a good laugh.

Yeah I did the same thing some days ago. There were either people in my timeline where I asked myself “Who‘s this?” or “Why am I following you?” Like you said. When you’re new somewhere you need to start with some contacts and later find out who you really like and what your interests are.

If you're actually trying to build relationships and correspondence, it makes sense to thin the herd. There's some study that stated ~150 acquaintances is about the max an average person can truly handle if the relationship is to be meaningful.
Yes, I heard that as well and it makes sense actually because if you have more than that you can't really keep track anymore, don't you think. Aaaaaaand yes! It will become meaningless :)

I am trying to make it a daily routine for myself. I myself had the same problem, where I was excited and started following everyone. And now I do not even see interesting content, something that would appeal me! Clean them Away!
