Instagram Moments~ A Ramble
Not everything you can see is what is really there.
Last night I had the pleasure of making my Father in Law happy. He had invited his family, son, daughter, grandchild, spouses, and great-grandson, out to dinner.
I will be honest, I usually do not go to these types of family dinners. On the outside, it looks like an Instagram photo. The reality goes so much deeper. It makes you wonder how many other families you see looking happy and perfect really are.
I'm not saying families cannot be happy. What I am saying is, every family always has its own story. Every person has their own take on what they see when out and about in public.
Bad feelings are caused by others only seeing the outside of a situation. Many of us don't think to look deeper than the Instagram Moment they see before them. Yet we all know our own lives have many layers. Why do we only see others as one layer? Good or Bad? Nice or Mean? Perfect?
Imagine if everyone looked at each other and realized what they are seeing is only the top layer of who that person really was. This is how I would like to be looked at. I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way.
In today's world, backward thinking seems to be the norm. So many people assume a person has bad intentions if they come up to talk to you. So much time is spent on envying what others have without knowing their struggles to get what they have.
Wouldn't it be nice to meet someone new and have them look for the good in you? How different life might be.
