"FOR I WAS ASHAMED to ask the king for SOLDIERS and HORSEMEN to ACCOMPANY US and PROTECT US from ENEMIES along the WAY. After all, we had told the king, "OUR GOD'S HAND OF PROTECTION IS ON ALL WHO WORSHIP HIM, but HIS FIERCE ANGER RAGES AGAINST THOSE WHO ABANDON HIM.”
Ezra 8:22 (NLT)

• A prophetic declaration of a minister or believer might be made void If such did not pay attention to this point; Acknowledging God after you had ministered or made prophetic declarations by faith.

  • This is where fasting and praying come in! At times the watering prayers, or back up prayers, for your prophetic declarations might not need fastings to be added; but it may be needed at times. IF the demon(s) behind the problem you are dealing with, or what you had declared to happen, are strong ones, you would need to add fasting to your prayers (Matthew 17:21; Mark 9:29).
  • After the challenge or confrontation of the prophets of Baal and their eliminations by Elijah, he declared It would be rained. That, Ahab should go ahead and prepare (1 Kings 18:41).
IT took a rigorous sessions of prayers before the manifestation of what Elijah declared. He had to travailed in prayers, asking his servant to keep going to the Sea to check whether there was any sign, or a Trace or an indication of Rain: 42 SO Ahab went up to eat and drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; then he bowed down on the ground, and put his face between his knees, 43 and said to his servant, “GO UP NOW, LOOK TOWARDS THE SEA.” So he went up and looked, and said, “There is nothing.” AND SEVEN TIMES HE SAID, “GO AGAIN.” 44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘PREPARE YOUR CHARIOT, AND GO DOWN BEFORE THE RAIN STOPS YOU' ” (1 King 18:42-44 NKJV).
  • Without that rigorous sessions of prayers, the devil could have succeeded in aborting what Elijah declared to happen—the Rainfall.

• Another important thing to Note is, your covenant relationship, and the fellowshipping or communion with God, determine the speed with which your words, your prophetic declarations, are confirmed and performed.

  • The depth or the strength of the covenant which God established with you, and your rapport with Him, play an important role in bringing your words, or the prophetic declarations, to the fulfilment.
  • Thus, you would have to work on your fellowshipping or communion with God, and strengthen it. This is the reason you should not give any occasion to whatever would break or interfere with your rapport with God.
  • If there is any breakage, or any hampering in your fellowshipping with God; this might cause your prayers, words or prophetic declarations, to be ineffective and unproductive, or fall to the ground.
  • What strengthens a believer's or minister's covenant relationship with God is, obedience, and the ability to be consistent in fellowshipping with Him.
WHEN the communion is not broken, whatever you declare would always receive God's approval—would always be confirmed and performed.

• It is not enough to declare prophetically by faith, you had to back up whatever you had declared with prayers, and at times added with fastings (Ezra 8:21,22).

  • The power and importance of prayers:
    (i) When you pray, you draw the hand of God into whatever the challenge or situation is, or might be.
    a. In the earthly Ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, He usually went for prayers before and after He had ministered to the multitude of people—the crowd.
    b. A minister should always stay long enough, before God in prayers, before he or she ventures to go out and minister to the people. And he or she should also do this after the ministration, in order to give the feedback or the report of the meeting to God.
    c. The Aura of God's presence is released or made to be with the minister, or on whoever, stays long enough or tarries before God (Exodus 34:29,30).
(ii) Praying stirs the Heart of the people to be in favour with you. God gracious hand rests on you and causes you to find favour in all your endeavours:
"AND praise him for demonstrating such unfailing love to me by HONORING me before the king, his council, and all his mighty nobles! I FELT ENCOURAGED BECAUSE THE GRACIOUS HAND OF THE LORD MY GOD WAS ON ME. AND I GATHERED SOME OF THE LEADERS OF ISRAEL TO RETURN WITH ME TO JERUSALEM" (Ezra 7:28 NLT).

"WHEN A MAN'S WAYS PLEASE THE LORD, HE MAKES EVEN HIS ENEMIES TO BE AT PEACE WITH HIM."
Proverbs 16:7 (NKJV)

(iii) Prayer releases Angels to be at your service (Hebrews 1:14).
(iv) Praying compels the opposition to bow. The devil and his cohorts are compelled to bow, submit, and flee, when a believer stands to pray.
(v) You are protected from the wicked one, the devil, through praying.

  • Note: If you succeed in taking over in prayer, in the spirit realm, your Journey in life and ministry is made smooth or stress-free.
  • If you are weak in fasting and praying, many good things would elude you. And the devil may have the opportunity to have a field day in your life.
  • Champions Use the weapons of fasting and praying. God will prove Himself faithful If you could seek Him for help as Ezra and those who were with him did; when they perceived their journey was not safe without His, God's, hand of protection (Ezra 8:21,23,31).

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body as you are reading this piece, then, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
  • Whatever would not allow you to rest, or enjoy a good health, is cursed and rooted up in your body, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
