RE: Hospitality on Steem & Real Life

in #dtube7 years ago (edited)

I agree with you people but not with the phrase "be yourself".

I am an Odinist and self-improvement is the modus operandi. I will be a better and therefore different person tomorrow and every day after that till the day I have access to the golden halls.

That is why I write to "remove your mask" -> it means to be who you are on that day.

Enjoy my upvotes for the courage of being yourselves instead of wearing masks.

Sort:

it means to be who you are on that day.

and at that time, on that day.

As what and who I am changes with each passing minute. Somedays I can swear like a sailor and other days I can not get past Fffffff, for a tiny example.

but I am always me. I would like someday, to have a better vocabulary when I'm mad or need to emphasize something important than using the word Fuck! and I'm sure my son would too loll

as you and @jackmiller have seemed to wrote a book while I slept I will just add my 2 cents and say I think you both are correct.

I think you both say the same thing but look at it from different angles and as I'm still not really awake I will hope that both your days are going great! as you both gave me the gift of reading and thinking this morning.

Whoever is right here (might is right anyway), what counts is that we are all dropping our masks.

That is a rule on my discord by the way, fake people and liars will receive a warning and the next time they act or lie they will be banned.

buttttt what if, by that rule, you make people question who they really are! :D and then they are so afraid of being fake they then become fake!

Oh! the tangled webs of discord :D

Yes, I'm just rambling :D it's what I do because for me there is always 3 sides of a story.

and now I just made myself laugh imagining someone new on your channel sitting there afraid to say anything :D Thank you for that!

Oh! Steemit just got a new format for comments! when I went to add the last part in. It's really nicer this way!

That got me thinking, came to the conclusion that if they are afraid to say anything that they disqualify themselves from membership anyway.

:D and THAT is correct! :D there is no other answer to that question which is another reason I had to laugh!

I AM very happy I made you think this morning it means I'm not as old as I think! loll

You don't look that old either.

You are building upon your foundation, so you are you, every day of your life on this earth, you are you, an individual, unique in every which way.

So we are on the same line with that, bettering yourself every day is something that makes you who and what you are, don't change that, it is great to see people like you who have a commitment to being good people who want to be the best that they can be.

I agree with most of what you wrote.

Bettering yourself every day is something that makes you who and what you are. -> No, it makes you better aka a different person.

You are building upon your foundation, so you are you, every day of your life on this earth, -> I am me right now, but in the future, I will be somebody else stuck in my body.

Being yourself means to be yourself and not to improve yourself to become better in the future. However, if improving yourself means to be yourself then yeah you could say that I am myself doing that because I will never stop doing that.

To come to the conclusion that improving myself now belongs to myself I had to go through ruthless self-improvement.

This discussion is deep.
