Eating at Costa (in Cardiff) 😍

Hi!

I recently went out to eat in Cardiff (the capital of Wales)!

This was more of a passing visit as we were busy at the time, luckily we saw this while walking through Cardiff when we were very hungry!

Costa Coffee is a chain café here in the United Kingdom, which has been around for over 50 years!
It's described online as the "fasted growing coffee shop chain in the UK".

I'm a big fan of Costa's sustainability efforts, Coffee with Commitment. I remember going to these cafe's when I was younger and always seeing informative art about their sustainability missions and not thinking much of it (because I was young and didn't realize) but now that I'm older, I see what they do and I really appreciate how vocal they are about this!

They source their coffee beans with sustainability in mind, in fact their beans are Rainforest Alliance certified!

On their website, they also mention that they make efforts to garner an inclusive work space, which more places need to be doing, too! It is reassuring in the current climate that there are still places that think of things like this.

I really am a sucker for a cozy little café visit- even if it's a quick one. I'm glad I'm able to support places like these!

I used to love going to cafes just to hang out with friends and draw for hours (while also buying food/drink from the café of course)!

During the Autumnal season, I normally opt for a festive drink, like the usual pumpkin spiced latte that cafes advertise!

This time however, the "maple hazelnut latte" really caught my eye, I'm so glad it did!

It was incredibly warm and delicious, what a great combination of flavours! Since drinking this I've been trying to find a syrup to replicate the taste, please let me know if you have any recommendations. 😁

This drink cost me around £3- which is roughly 18 STEEM.

I was feeling extra hungry so I also got these crisps! Just regular crisps really, not much to discuss with it, but that's ok- I still enjoyed them!

The crisps were around £1.70, which is near 10 STEEM I believe!

Does anyone else have a certain food that they know they'll always go for if they see it on a menu somewhere?

I do! For me, if I go to a café, regardless of time of day, I will (most of the time) pick up a breakfast wrap.

They're too delicious to pass up, I find them so comforting and filling! It had scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, some tomato paste/baked beans and cheese- I had it heated up and WOW, so so delicious!! 😍

This wrap cost me near £5.70, which is around 34 STEEM- a bit steep in price for what it is but I did really want it so I went for it anyway.

I really enjoyed this café visit, I'd like to go out to a café to hang out and draw again soon, I find it a bit difficult as all my friends live quite far away at the moment! Maybe I'll try go by myself? We'll see!

My total cost for this meal was around £10, which is about 60 STEEM.

Thank you for reading. 😊
