Zagreb turns off the lights for the planet Earth
Earth Hour is a global ecological initiative. Individuals, businesses, governments, and communities are invited to turn off their lights for an hour and thus show their support for the environmentally sustainable operation. Hour for Planet Earth began in Sydney in 2007. and has so far included hundreds of millions of people from over 180 countries across continents and has entered history as the largest global volunteer action ever organized. Zagreb is the part of this activity, so the center of the city turned out the lights for an hour.

Right at 8.30 pm at Saturday, buildings have turned the lights off around the world. Twelfth in a row Earth Hour has shut down lights in more than 7,000 world cities from more than 180 countries, including 82 Croatian cities. Proofing that no individual action on climate change is small, and no collective vision is too big, the Earth Planet Hour began by extinguishing light on the Pacific island of Samoa. This initiative combines 24 time zones united with great challenges: climate change and the terrifying loss of biodiversity.
WWF (World Wildlife Found)launched this action in 2007. as the initiative of one city - Sydney, whose inhabitants wanted to warn the world leaders. Their desire was to encourage these leaders to work together to slow down climate change. For years it has grown to the greatest initiative of this type in the world.
WWF's mission is to stop the earth's natural environment deterioration and build a future in which people live in harmony with nature. It is also important to preserve world biodiversity and ensure sustainable use of renewable natural resources, promoting pollution reduction and wasteful spending.
I apologize if my pictures are a litter dark :D :D :D
