In terms of asset size, Bank of America, the second largest bank in the US, increased its profit by 15 percent in the third quarter of fiscal year. The decline in costs and the benefits of high interest rates have been effective in raising profits.
According to Foreks, Bank of America's third-quarter net distributable profit was $ 5.1 billion, or 48 cents per share. Net profit for the same period last year was $ 4.45 billion, 41 cents per share.
Revenue in the third quarter was $ 22.08 billion, an increase of 1 percent. Analysts were expecting a profit of 45 cents per share and revenue of $ 21.98 billion in the third quarter.
