This week we're talking priorities, and wow have we been talkin'! So many of you responded to this week's question, a deceptively simple one when you first look at it. I asked you to dig deep, and you really did! I honestly expected most of you to just write your children, or your family, .. but nearly all of you went deeper and found some golden nuggets! It was a great week, and I just love the QOTW because i get to read posts that I REALLY find interesting.. You guys never let us down, and let me say there are some beautiful and very special posts below. You guys are beautiful!.. Thank you for taking part <3

@minismallholding

Everybody has priorities in life which guide their choices. These priorities will change as you grow and circumstances change. Sometimes we are the drivers of our circumstance changes and sometimes we don't get a choice on how or when they change.

Family has always been a priority for me. When I was young it was my parents and older sister who were the most important. They were my carers, protectors and guides, so it made sense to put them first. I was taught that family is always there for you so love should be unconditional and I took that to heart. The family dynamic changed a little when my sister fell pregnant at 16 and moved out of the family home. We still tried to support her as best we could, though.

@misslasvegas

This question is not as easy to answer as one might think. A few years ago I would have answered with a firm: 'my kids', but it's a bit more complex these days as I've started to realize a few things. Yes, even 'people like me' (yes, I'm talking about age) still learn things. I am not the all-seeing eye, although that would be a cool feature to have.

So what is it that I learned over the years that make me say this?

OK, so I am NOT saying that my kids aren't the most important in my life. They absolutely are. Together with the dogs, cats and the pony. They're my kids too.

@rem-steem

Life is about choosing the best option and placing priorities in layers. It's can't be always the same, we can't always choose the best option, we have to shift our priorities for so many reasons. Following the same track is also not a healthy practice to live life.

Priorities changes over time. And I believe there's nothing to feel any regret if our priorities change and if we can't do what we meant to be. When we come down the road to walk, an emergency or some beautiful flowers can shift our focus. This is totally okay for me. I embrace every second of my life.

This doesn't mean we shouldn't have any priority. Rather, I believe we should think about our priorities and pick and & place it deliberately.

@josediccus

Priorities Are the basics through which life accomplishments takes place therefore we as people takes it upon ourselves to set our priorities right Irrespective of how our life has turned out, in truth I have chosen to live a healthy life because I believe this is a priority that will determine if other priorities will turn out to be true. We stay alive and that's why we have priorities however what if we can't stay alive? *How then do we have priorities?

@artemislives

There is only ONE priority in my life - one that is so simple and yet profoundly complex.

My priority is to shine, polish and engage with my Divine Self until She shines and is a pure channel of Love, of Hope, and of Healing.

Everything shines through, is refracted through, that Prism of Priority. When I am murky and dusty, the refractions distort and lose their power.

What are Your Priorities in life and why?

For me at different stages of life my priorities has kept changing. Majorly till date my priority has been my family, just that the members have kept shifting.
When my son was growing up my only priority was him, as a mother to take care of him and ensure that he had a secured childhood with as much attention I could give to him. As a Child I had a very messed up childhood so when I had my Son I decided that everything else will take a back seat and I will give my Son a safe, secured and a healthy environment to grow in. My Son was born at the same time I had started my career. It was also my time to scale up in my career but then everything else had to wait and the only priority for me was my Son.

This week @ecotrain has posed another question, and this time I was not even sure about writing an answer. To be frank, they seem to be getting tougher each time, at least at first sight. After a bit of deliberation, however, there is always an idea that emerges that may be suitable as a response. This week it's no different. The question is about our priorities in life, which can be answered in a million ways. Still, I've managed to narrow it down to the most basic and most important things.

First Priority: Truth

Okay, starting out with an abstract concept, which has been highly debated philosophically, and there isn't even a consensus over whether it actually exists. So I think I should at least explain what I mean by it.

Truth means being truthful to oneself.

Telling lies to others is one thing. It's a bad practice, as it destroys the essential trust between human beings. But much worse than that is lying to myself, in other words, believing my own lies. If that happens, it's not only the interpersonal relationship and cooperation that is compromised, but everything else.

@zeleiracordero

When we are challenged to reflect on our priorities systematically, we realize that they are changing. Life is the cause, life moves them. We live in stages and each of them has its world, its charm, its challenges, and decisions based on our priorities. But... What do we call priorities? Plain and simple to what matters to us, to what we value, to what gives meaning and focus to our daily lives. It all depends on the prism you're looking at. For some the family, for others the work, and so on, each one defines his Watercolour of values. Each one paints his reality with the colors of his ideals and his circumstances. Everyone wears the shoe that fits them and knows the leaks from their roof.

@porters

My priorities are changing as I come to a different stage in my life where there is more time behind me than what I have in front.

Contributing to that too, is the wisdom that I have gain over the six plus decades of living and the realization of how precious this life is.

I have set my priorities, remembering to focus on what is important, removing distractions and not letting so call "urgent" things to be constantly pulling me away from the direction I am going, the path I want to be on.

I have been taking the 21 Day Abundance Challenge put on by @naturalmedicine - see details here (there will probably another one in the new year so stay tuned!), although I'm just in the first part of it. I also have been listening to an inspiring man, Roger Hamilton.

Hello Dtube Community 💞💕,

Today I take part in the @ecotrain Question of the Week and the theme goes does :- What Are Your Priorities In Life?. Without wasting much time here I have some interesting things to share on my priorities.

I wanted to be an Engineer that was my first priority in life but I was denied along the way with so many things. When I did my secondary school certificate examination I had very good grades but I had to step down for my Junior brother to climb as well. I spent few years at home doing nothing but farming. The second priority was freedom , Happy Life , Happy Family, Good health , and more

@senorcoconut

In our world it seems that too often people chose convenience over priority. What I mean is that it is easy to chose the path of least resistance.

If we all had pur prioities straight, what would the world look like?

This week's question from @ecotrain is What are Your Priorities in life and why?

PRIORITY: (According to Cambridge Dictionary)

Something that is considered more important than other matters.
or
Something that you do or deal with first because it is more important or urgent than other things.

These days I have several priorities but for sure the most important on my list is my family's health and happiness. It may sound a little cliché but looking deeper into it, I can see that almost every other thing that I do is for our happiness.

@trucklife-family

We all have our priorities in life, they are the things that we care most about and they help us find direction and meaning in our lives. As a mother my biggest priority is my children,they are the most important thing in my life and they come first. There is no question about that.

I have a responsibility to provide them with a nurturing and stimulating environment and in doing so, I also provide it for myself.
Showing them the importance of nurturing themselves is something that I have been trying to put into practice.

So even though I will hands down say they are my no.1, my relationship with them has come full circle back to me and how I need to care for myself. So that in meeting their needs, I first must meet my own. Saying something is one thing, but living it is another and that is what will leave a more lasting impression.
