Project Arcanum: Steemit's Personal Psychology. Re-Examinating Social Conditions
In this edition of the Arcanum Project, I wanted to talk about Social conditions, something that every one of us has in common. One of the major factors of personal development that plays a huge role in our life development options.
Social Conditions as a Guide Line
At times we tend to look at our life options based on our current social conditions but we neglect to see that they are actually generated throughout our lifestyle choices, or in other words, like attracts like.
And sometimes we find ourselves stuck between choices, mainly due to clinging onto social constructs.
Building friendships and relationships, career options, all of them are based on our innermost needs and our essence. For example, if you were to be a good musician, I'm sure that your inner needs will be orientated towards finding likeminded people and a job orientated towards that specific area. Therefore you would be building your social ecosystem to gravitate towards your inner self.
What we make of this is that, if we feel stuck in life, laking life choices, we can always look at our surroundings as they reflect our choices and actions. If for some reason we find ourselves in a place where we lack to thrive, there is always the option to change life directions, interests and attract new people to our lives based on that.
Seratonin and the People
Seratonin is a compound which can be found in blood platelets and serum, which constricts the blood vessels and acts as a neurotransmitter.
Most people refer to serotonin as the elixir of happiness and it is fastly accumulated through eating chocolate for example.
Typically, the serotonin system has the tendency to react when we "Socialize" with other people, meaning that serotonin is released as a sort of reward system to let us feel good and motivate us towards doing more of what we do. The serotonin makes us feel blissful and socially fed.
For us to have a healthy serotonin system, we actually need to socialize in some way that gives us a positive feedback, therefore if one is to find himself around negative people that affect his lifestyle choices in a negative polarity, he would find himself deprived of serotonin, this is a natural occurrence as the body stops releasing it in order for us to understand that those people don't benefit our lifestyle choices and lifestyle path.
Typically, most people that take drugs which react with the serotonin system find themselves deprived of life aspirations after burning away the system itself. Hence, followed by a sort of depression.
I do recommend eating chocolate and sweets from time to time, some people try to hard diet without paying attention to their inner system and find themselves in extreme depressions and anxiety attacks. Always listen to your body! Even if that means eating a whole cake.

Eh, I was agreeing with you till you said to eat the whole cake lol. Sometimes we need to use our better judgement over these physical urges which may be detrimental to our health.
You know about the rat park experiments? Basically rats alone would drink cocaine laced water until they died, but rats living in a rat park with other rats to hang out with wouldn't touch the cocaine water.
