I got to hand it to the kid for this Genius Idea, "HI MOM SEND BITCOIN" QR Code.  Why didn't I think of that in 2013.  Oh I know why...

That's how I first heard of BITCOIN!

From watching ESPN and reading about it in the news the very next day.

I guess that will be my story when I am asked HOW and WHEN I got into BITCOIN...

I first heard about it on some website, can't remember which.

Almost bought some at the time. Had the page loaded, had entered my credit card info for $100.00, hovered over the OK button but thought better of it and moved on to more surfing.

Bitcoin was $0.74 at the time, so that $100 would have gotten me 135 BTC, now worth $175,000.

Meh. I would have probably lost it all on Mt. Gox anyway. 😅

Wow...

$0.74 cents!!!

You are most likely right about probably losing it all on Mt. Gox since not many Bitcoin Exchanges were around during those early days.

Thanks @preparedwombat for sharing. :)
