No one has more of my respect than teachers. You're right about poor policies for teachers in general around the world. We don't pay them well enough for their service.

Many teachers say more pay would ruin the profession. Bring in people who do it for the money, and not for the children.

As you stated, there is a different kind of reward that comes with teaching. There's no way to place a $$$ value on it. :)
