Learn Guitar: Heuristic 5 Memorizing the Modes

in #education7 years ago

Having now memorized the circle of 4ths, we can now move on to learning the modes. If you are still having trouble just refer to yesterday's lesson Heuristic 4, if you still need help with the circle of 4ths/5ths. Part B of section 2 starting production later today hoping to post the total videos as tomorrows post will dive further in depth with the modes in general and in specific. And will also explore pentatonic, and give some keey insight fer ye if you ingest it right about harmony and melody and how to solo to what chords and it sound good.
Circles Notes and Interval Perspective.png
The Modes is essentially a list of 7 intervals, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1 is the first mode and is called Ionian.

The second mode, Dorian, which in Ionian would be 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 1, 2, one might instead prefer to look at it as instead of a 2 starting, make the 2 1, but then the intervals would change, which as discussed in the next lesson changing the first interval changes some of the other intervals which will be determined by the modes nonsymmetrical spacing pattern. We will not state all the modes typing it out here, this time, future revision s might is thats what you want? What do you want? As for Dorian, the second mode if we make the 2 a 1 as discussed in the video and images, then the intervals would be 1, 2, b3, 3, 4, b5, 5, b6, 6, b7, 7, 1
