Rammohan Roy
Raja Ram Mohan Roy (May 22, 1772 - September 27, 1833) was the founder of the first Indian religious-social reform movement Brahmo Samaj,and Bengali philosopher Rammohan Roy, or King Ram Mohan Roy. He was able to make significant impacts in the politics, public administration, religious and educational sectors. He has become the most famous, for his efforts to abolish the tradition of Sati. Then the husband of the Hindu widow was compelled to go for help or to commit suicide.
