Mobile Mining App should be here any moment.. !(?) (update: it is released!)
After Electroneum (etn) started a closed beta for there mobile mining app (/ wallet) for Android devices in the beginning of this year, it now seems they are almost ready to release the mining feature to the public...
On 2 March Electroneum tweeted:

After reading about the Electroneum project for some time, i found a number of people complaining about the promises made by the Electroneum team, but on the other hand they are making progress with the project, website and there mobile mining app / wallet.
The Mining functionality inside there app is a imporantant part of the Electroneum project, and once released it will help to get ETN in more people there newly created wallets and generate more transfer on the network, and it could have a influence on the market value of ETN.
Because the closed beta is released, there are test results available and some people have shared video's with results of there Beta testing of the app. They also received there first payouts.
After seeing the first test results from different beta testers it seems that a high end mobile phone could make around 1 ETN a day.
Is it really mining ?
It's seems to be that it is not really conventional mining but but more a simulation..., the phone doesn't seems to get hot or be heavy on the phones resources.
Questions about this and other things have been asked, some of them got answered by the support team and there reply is somewhat disappointing and contradicting with before given information.

If it is not really mining and doesn't force your phone to do it's maximum performance and get HOT (and wear-down your down your device), it sure seems interesting for more people to keep the the app open and run on the background of your primary (high end) device.
At this moment the mining tab in the app still shows this message:
I will want to give it a try and experiment with it, but first we need to see if they will release it today, tomorrow... ?!

Will first try with my iPhone 7 Plus.

Good read and well researched! I should imagine the miner will be released anywhere in the working hours of the UK tomorrow (9am-5pm GMT) as they are a British company - it is currently 15:30 on Sunday here in the UK. I do not know what time it will be released but lets hope it goes smoothly! Thanks, i just read trough your post and woud love to do some testing of the new mining functionality by myself, but at this moment it is still not yet available, let's hope it is released soon :)
